I come from a family of artists, but I didn’t always know I wanted to be a photographer.
For a while, I was obsessed with traveling the world, and all the fun that comes with finding the perfect sangria in Spain, tracking down a medicine man in Bali, Greek island hopping, eating my way through Thailand, exploring haunted castles in Prague, or trying to get a monk to take a jump shot with me in India (I was successful, fyi). But when all the adventures were said and done, there had to be something to show for it- the perfect photographs.
Once I bought my first DSLR, I knew I was hooked. I studied photojournalism and travel writing at University of Hawaii Manoa and obtained my degree in 2011.
I was incredibly fortunate to land an internship with one of Hawaii's most talented wedding photographers, Chrissy Lambert. Shooting my first wedding was one of those light bulb, flick-of-a-switch kind of epiphanies- I just loved it. This was what I was meant to do- capture timeless and tangible memories that would be cherished for lifetimes to come.
I’m beyond fortunate that I get to turn my passion into my full-time profession, and that I get to shoot in Hawaii everyday is nothing short of a dream come true. When I’m not shooting, I’m hanging with my husband and our two beautiful kiddos, enjoying all the goodness Hawaii has to offer.
